You’ve placed your trust in us by either enquiring about our products and services or by making a purchase. We assure you that we are committed to protecting and safeguarding any personal data you give us.

What do we do with your personal data?

We require this information to be able to process your orders, contact you to understand your needs and provide you with our first-class Hi-Tec Cleaning services. We’ll do the following:

Use your contact details name, address, phone number to arrange delivery of your order or to contact you, if have you have made an enquiry.
If the enquiry received is relating to work being carried out at your property, we will pass on your personal information (name, email address, address, phone number etc.) to the relevant contractor to arrange a quote with you. All the contractors we share your information with are either Cleaning Doctor External Cleaning Services owners OR SmartSeal Registered Contractors.
We may periodically send promotional emails about special offers and even some hints & tips which we think you will find interesting using the email address you have provided. We will of course only do this, if you have consented to this by ticking the box on our website contact us form.
We may also use your mobile phone number to text you with promotions periodically, but again only if we have received your consent and you will be able to opt-out afterwards by sending us a text or an email at any time and we’ll remove you from our list.

Security

We are committed to ensuring your information is secure. In accordance with European data protection laws, we observe reasonable procedures to prevent unauthorised access to, and the misuse of, personal data. We have put in place physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard the information we collect online. Our emails are password protected, and we have anti-virus protection. Only authorised personnel are permitted to access personal data in the course of their work. Any customer who fills in a ‘Contact us form’, or submits an order via our website, can rest assured that the details are added to a safe database of customers which is password protected.

Personal data of children

We do not collect any data related to children under the age of 16 as we have no purpose in doing so. In some jurisdictions, a minor aged 16 and above can rent a property if they have a guarantor. If a minor in this exact circumstance wished to purchase our products or enquire about services, then we would deem it acceptable to process their personal data as we do with all other customers over the age of 18 who are homeowners or renting their property.

To process your personal data as described above, we rely on the following legal bases:

Performance of a contract: It may be necessary to perform the contract that you have with us. For example, if you wish to purchase our products, we will use your information to carry out our obligation and provide the desired service and administer this under the verbal contract we have agreed with you.
Legitimate interests: We may use your information for our legitimate interests, such as to provide you with the best suitable special offers and promotions based on your previous experience with Hi-Tec Cleaning Group. As mentioned previously though, this will only be done with your consent.

Sharing your personal data with third parties

When you check out on our website, you will be redirected to pay via PayPal. When you click on the link you are leaving our website and PayPal then becomes responsible for protecting your payment data which they must receive to complete the transaction. Hi-Tec Cleaning Group does not retain this payment data and will not have access to it. We will receive confirmation from PayPal of the transaction and are then able to withdraw the funds from our own PayPal account.

As mentioned previously we do share your personal details with relevant local contractors to carry out services you may have enquired about; such as work to be carried out at your home via the SmartSeal UK website.

Payments / Invoicing

Your personal data will be on our invoice books for our accounting records. We must keep these records for as long as HMRC (UK) and Customs & Excise deem necessary. This is currently six years. Any invoice which shows your personal details is stored in a locked office or filing cabinet. We will retain billing and delivery addresses on our database which is essential to complete the sale.

Links to other websites

Our website may contain links to other websites of interest (currently Facebook, PayPal and YouTube). However, once you have used these links to leave our site, you should note that we do not have any control over that other website. Therefore, we cannot be responsible for the protection and privacy of any information which you provide whilst visiting such sites and such sites are not governed by this privacy statement. You should exercise caution and look at the privacy statement applicable to the website in question.

Hi-Tec Cleaning Group’s Cookie Policy

Like other sites, we use cookies. A cookie is like a tag that some sites put on your computer or phone when you visit them, so they can recognise you next time. Cookies allow web applications to respond to you as an individual. The web application can tailor its operations to your needs, likes and dislikes by gathering and remembering information about your preferences.
